SDM Projects:

  • Misericòrdia Carles-Lavila’s current research responds to the following focuses on efficiency analysis involving the development of economic evaluation models and the examination of their implications. One of the main consequences is related to the uncertainty about benefits and adverse effects of many of the health services and treatment. This necessitates transmitting detailed information and raises inquiries regarding how patients could participate in an informed decision-making process. This decision goes beyond the paternalistic model prevailing in the healthcare system and entails joint decision-making between the professional and the user (shared decision making).
