Decision Coaching SIG

Decision Coaching Seminar – The Decision Coaching SDM SIG invites those interested in shared decision-making and decision coaching to join our October 2026 seminar. This session will offer an opportunity to explore the development and application of decision coaching in Japan, spanning mental health care, research, clinical practice, and education and training.

 The seminar will provide a broad overview of Yumi Aoki’s work related to shared decision-making (SDM), patient decision aids (PtDAs), and particularly decision coaching (DC) in Japan. Drawing on experiences from research, clinical practice, and educational activities, the session will provide a basis for discussion and exchange on the development and implementation of decision coaching across different contexts.
