Donations
We welcome voluntary donations to help us; support shared decision-making training, research opportunities, early career researchers travel scholarships, conference awards and support for carers with young children at our international conference.
As a member-based organisation, all donations will be disclosed to our members.
Sponsorship
The Society is a not for profit organisation. We are an independent association and any revenue received through membership or sponsorship is directed towards our aim of promoting science, research and educational support in shared decision making and patient-centred care.
Sponsorship requests will be considered by the Board provided they are;
- not from for-profit health-funds or pharmaceutical industry, and
- which do not conflict with our aims.
Funding
- In 2018 the ISDM Society received three unconditional start-up donations without requirements or expectations on how the funds were used. These served to develop the Society’s logo and website, as well as cover legal fees to establish the society and for administrative processes. Furthermore, three poster awards and two conference fees for patient participants for the 10. ISDM conference in Québec 2019 have been covered
- of 33.900 € from BUPA, a health and care company in the UK, and other countries
- 5.000 € : Robert-Bosch-Foundation, a non-for-profit organization in Germany
- 7.000 €: University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Germany
